Day 1: Arrival in Entebbe – Transfer to Hotel

You arrive at Entebbe International Airport, where your driver-guide welcomes you and transfers you to your hotel. Depending on your arrival time, you may enjoy a relaxed evening by Lake Victoria before dinner and overnight in Entebbe.

Day 2: Drive to Murchison Falls National Park via Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary

After breakfast, you begin your journey north. En route, you stop at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary, the only place in Uganda where rhinos can be tracked on foot. After lunch, you continue to Murchison Falls National Park, arriving by late afternoon. Dinner and overnight are at your lodge along the Nile.

Day 3: Game Drive and Nile Boat Cruise at Murchison Falls

This morning, you head out on a game drive across the park’s northern plains. Elephants, buffaloes, giraffes, and lions are often sighted, along with abundant birdlife. After lunch, you take a boat cruise along the Nile to the base of Murchison Falls, capturing hippos, crocodiles, and elephants by the water. A short hike to the top of the falls offers dramatic views before you return to your lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 4: Transfer to Kibale Forest National Park

After breakfast, you set off on a long but scenic drive southwest toward Kibale Forest. The road takes you past tea plantations, crater lakes, and rolling hills. By evening, you arrive at your lodge near Kibale Forest. Dinner and overnight in Kibale.

Day 5: Chimpanzee Tracking in Kibale – Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park

This morning, you head into Kibale Forest to track chimpanzees, spending an hour with them in their natural home. The forest also teems with monkeys and birds, adding to the experience. After lunch, you drive south to Queen Elizabeth National Park. On arrival, you enjoy a short evening game drive before checking into your lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 6: Game Drive and Kazinga Channel Boat Cruise

The day begins with a sunrise game drive across the Kasenyi plains, where lions and elephants roam and Uganda kob graze in the open savannah. In the afternoon, you take a boat cruise along the Kazinga Channel, where hippos, crocodiles, and elephants line the banks. Dinner and overnight are in Queen Elizabeth National Park.

Day 7: Transfer to Bwindi via Ishasha – Tree-Climbing Lions

After breakfast, you drive through the Ishasha sector, home to the famous tree-climbing lions. With luck, you may spot them lounging in fig trees before continuing into Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. Dinner and overnight at your lodge on the forest edge.

Day 8: Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi – Cross to Rwanda

After an early breakfast, you report to the park headquarters for a ranger briefing before beginning your gorilla trek. The hike through dense forest is demanding, but the reward is priceless—an hour with a gorilla family in their natural habitat. After trekking, you cross into Rwanda through Cyanika or Katuna border and continue to Musanze, the gateway to Volcanoes National Park. Dinner and overnight at your lodge with views of the Virunga volcanoes.

Day 9: Golden Monkey Tracking – Transfer to Kigali – Departure

Your final day begins with golden monkey tracking in the bamboo forests of Volcanoes National Park. These lively primates are a joy to watch and photograph. After the trek, you return to your lodge for lunch before driving to Kigali. Depending on your flight schedule, you may enjoy a short city tour before being transferred to the airport for departure.
