Day 1: Arrival in Entebbe – Transfer to Kampala

You arrive at Entebbe International Airport and transfer to Kampala. Depending on your arrival time, you may enjoy an evening cultural performance of music and dance before dinner and overnight in the city.

Day 2: Kampala Cultural Tour – Buganda Heritage Sites

The day is devoted to exploring Kampala’s cultural landmarks. You visit the Kasubi Tombs, the Buganda Kingdom palace, the Uganda Museum, and bustling craft markets. Traditional foods and storytelling introduce you to Uganda’s heritage. Dinner and overnight are in Kampala.

Day 3: Transfer to Murchison Falls National Park via Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary

After breakfast, you head north, stopping at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary for rhino tracking on foot. Continuing to Murchison Falls, you arrive by evening and check into your lodge along the Nile. Dinner and overnight in the park.

Day 4: Game Drive and Nile Boat Safari at Murchison

You rise early for a game drive across the northern savannah, where elephants, lions, giraffes, and buffaloes are often seen. After lunch, you take a boat cruise along the Nile to the base of Murchison Falls, with hippos, crocodiles, and water birds in abundance. Dinner and overnight at your lodge.

Day 5: Visit the Top of the Falls – Transfer to Hoima Cultural Town

In the morning, you visit the top of Murchison Falls, where the Nile explodes through a narrow gorge. Later, you drive to Hoima, a town rich in Bunyoro culture. In the evening, you enjoy storytelling, traditional dances, and interaction with local communities. Dinner and overnight in Hoima.

Day 6: Transfer to Kibale Forest National Park – Toro Kingdom Visit

After breakfast, you drive southwest to Fort Portal, passing through tea plantations and crater lakes. On arrival, you visit the Toro Kingdom palace and learn about the history of this highland region before heading to your lodge near Kibale Forest. Dinner and overnight in Kibale.

Day 7: Chimpanzee Tracking in Kibale – Bigodi Community Walk

This morning, you track chimpanzees in Kibale Forest, watching them feed, groom, and swing through the canopy. In the afternoon, you walk through Bigodi Wetland with local guides, learning about traditional medicine, farming, and crafts. Dinner and overnight at your lodge.

Day 8: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park – Evening Game Drive

After breakfast, you drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park. Upon arrival, you check into your lodge and enjoy an evening game drive across the Kasenyi plains. Dinner and overnight are in the park.

Day 9: Game Drive and Kazinga Channel Boat Cruise – Cultural Encounter

The day begins with a sunrise game drive in search of lions, elephants, and buffaloes. In the afternoon, you take a boat cruise along the Kazinga Channel, which connects Lake Edward and Lake George. Along the channel’s banks, you also observe fishing communities at work. Later, you visit a local village to learn about their customs and lifestyle. Dinner and overnight at your lodge.

Day 10: Transfer to Bwindi via Ishasha – Batwa Experience

After breakfast, you drive through the Ishasha sector, where tree-climbing lions are often seen, before continuing to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. On arrival, you take part in a Batwa cultural experience, where elders share forest traditions, dances, and music. Dinner and overnight in Bwindi.

Day 11: Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi

After breakfast, you report for a ranger briefing before trekking into the dense forest. The hike may be challenging, but the reward is the unforgettable hour spent with a gorilla family, observing their daily life. After trekking, you return to your lodge for rest. Dinner and overnight in Bwindi.

Day 12: Transfer to Lake Bunyonyi – Island Exploration

After the intensity of trekking, you transfer to Lake Bunyonyi, a peaceful lake surrounded by terraced hills and dotted with 29 islands. In the afternoon, you take a canoe ride to visit some of the islands, hearing stories of their history and legends. Dinner and overnight at a lakeside lodge.

Day 13: Transfer to Lake Mburo National Park – Evening Nature Walk

You leave Bunyonyi for Lake Mburo, a small but beautiful park known for zebras, impalas, and elands. Upon arrival, you take a guided evening nature walk, where you may encounter wildlife at close range. Dinner and overnight in the park.

Day 14: Morning Game Drive – Return to Entebbe – Departure

Your final day begins with a game drive in Lake Mburo before beginning the return journey to Entebbe. A stop at the Equator allows for photos and souvenirs. By evening, you arrive at Entebbe International Airport for your departure flight, bringing your safari and cultural immersion to an end.
