Day 1: Arrival in Kigali – Transfer to Volcanoes National Park

On arrival at Kigali International Airport, you are warmly welcomed by your driver-guide. Depending on arrival time, your family may enjoy a short Kigali city tour, visiting the Kigali Genocide Memorial or colorful craft markets. Afterward, you set off on a scenic two- to three-hour drive to Musanze, the gateway to Volcanoes National Park. The Virunga volcanoes dominate the horizon as you arrive at your lodge, where the family can relax and settle in. Dinner and overnight in Musanze.

Day 2: Gorilla Trekking in Volcanoes National Park – Family Activities

After an early breakfast, adults and older children take part in a guided gorilla trekking adventure, an unforgettable experience that allows you to spend an hour with a gorilla family in the misty highlands.
