Detailed Itinerary —7-Day Kenya Photography Safari

Day 1: Arrival in Nairobi – Transfer to Amboseli National Park

On arrival in Nairobi, meet your driver-guide and begin your safari with a scenic drive to Amboseli. Check into your lodge in time for lunch. In the late afternoon, enjoy your first photography game drive with Kilimanjaro’s snowcapped peak as a backdrop. Amboseli is renowned for its photogenic elephant herds and sweeping landscapes. Overnight in Amboseli.

Day 2: Full-Day Photography in Amboseli

Spend a full day in Amboseli with morning and afternoon photography sessions. Capture close-up shots of elephants, buffalo, zebras, and giraffes against the dramatic mountain backdrop. The soft light of dawn and dusk offers perfect conditions for landscape and wildlife photography. Return to your lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 3: Amboseli – Transfer to Lake Naivasha

After breakfast, depart Amboseli and travel to Lake Naivasha in the Rift Valley. Arrive for lunch at your lodge. In the afternoon, enjoy a boat ride ideal for photographing hippos, African fish eagles, and kingfishers. Day 4: Lake Naivasha – Transfer to Lake Nakuru National Park

Day 5: Lake Nakuru – Transfer to Maasai Mara & Afternoon Game Drive

Day 6: Full-Day Photography in Maasai Mara

Spend the day exploring the Maasai Mara with your guide, timing drives to maximize light conditions. The Mara provides incredible opportunities for action shots of predators hunting and dramatic scenes of wildebeest and zebra herds. Day 7: Morning Game Drive – Return to Nairobi
