Detailed Itinerary —7 Days Kenya Birding Safari

Day 1: Arrival in Nairobi – Birding at Nairobi National Park

Upon arrival in Nairobi, meet your birding guide and head to Nairobi National Park. Despite its proximity to the city, the park is home to over 500 bird species including ostriches, secretary birds, hornbills, and augur buzzards. Evening at your Nairobi hotel.

Day 2: Nairobi – Transfer to Lake Naivasha

After breakfast, drive to Lake Naivasha, a freshwater lake teeming with birdlife. In the afternoon, enjoy a boat ride to spot African fish eagles, kingfishers, herons, and cormorants. Optional visit to Crescent Island for close encounters with giraffes and zebras while spotting smaller ground birds. Dinner and overnight at Lake Naivasha.

Day 3: Lake Naivasha – Birding at Hell’s Gate National Park

Day 7: Morning Birding Drive – Return to Nairobi
