Detailed Itinerary —7-Day Tanzania Big Five Safari

Day 1: Arrival in Arusha

Arrive at Kilimanjaro International Airport where you’ll be met by your driver-guide and transferred to your hotel in Arusha. Depending on your arrival time, you can enjoy a city tour or relax at your lodge. Overnight in Arusha.

Day 2: Arusha – Transfer to Tarangire National Park

After breakfast, drive to Tarangire National Park, home to giant baobabs, large elephant herds, and diverse birdlife. Arrive in time for lunch and enjoy an afternoon game drive. Overnight at a Tarangire lodge or tented camp.

Day 3: Tarangire – Transfer to Lake Manyara National Park

Depart after breakfast for Lake Manyara National Park. Enjoy a full-day game drive with picnic lunch. The park is known for its tree-climbing lions, hippos, flamingos, and dramatic escarpment views. Dinner and overnight at your lodge near the park.

Day 4: Lake Manyara – Transfer to Serengeti National Park

After breakfast, drive through the Ngorongoro Highlands en route to Serengeti National Park. Arrive for lunch, followed by an afternoon game drive across the vast plains. Overnight in Serengeti.

Day 5: Full-Day Safari in Serengeti
