Detailed Itinerary —7-Day Tanzania Photography Safari

Day 1: Arrival in Arusha

Arrive at Kilimanjaro International Airport and transfer to your hotel in Arusha. Spend the evening relaxing and preparing your gear for the photographic adventure ahead. Overnight in Arusha.

Day 2: Arusha – Transfer to Tarangire National Park

Depart for Tarangire National Park, famous for its large elephant herds and dramatic baobab landscapes. After lunch at your lodge, enjoy your first game drive with plenty of chances to photograph elephants, zebras, and giraffes in golden evening light. Overnight in Tarangire.

Day 3: Tarangire – Transfer to Serengeti National Park

After breakfast, drive through the Ngorongoro Highlands into the Serengeti. Along the way, stop for scenic shots of the Rift Valley and crater highlands. Arrive in Serengeti for an afternoon game drive, capturing the vast open plains and resident predators. Overnight in Serengeti.

Day 4: Full-Day Photography in Serengeti

Spend the entire day on game drives, with flexible stops to make the most of wildlife encounters. Early morning offers the best light for predator activity, while midday provides dramatic skies and bird photography opportunities. Day 5: Full-Day Photography in Serengeti

Day 6: Serengeti – Transfer to Ngorongoro Crater

Day 7: Ngorongoro Crater Safari – Return to Arusha

Descend into the Ngorongoro Crater for a half-day photography safari. The crater offers one of the best opportunities to photograph the Big Five in close proximity. Capture flamingos along the lakes, hippos in pools, and predators on the hunt. After a picnic lunch, ascend and return to Arusha for your onward flight.
