Detailed Itinerary —5-Day Kenya Adventure Safari

Day 1: Arrival in Nairobi – Transfer to Amboseli National Park

Your safari begins with a morning pick-up in Nairobi, followed by a drive south to Amboseli National Park. On arrival, check into your lodge or camp and enjoy lunch. In the afternoon, set off on your first game drive beneath the towering backdrop of Mount Kilimanjaro. Amboseli is renowned for its large elephant herds, open plains, and excellent opportunities for photography. Dinner and overnight at your Amboseli lodge.

Day 2: Full-Day Game Drives in Amboseli

Spend the day exploring Amboseli’s rich wildlife scenes with morning and afternoon game drives. The park is home to buffalo, giraffes, lions, cheetahs, and over 400 bird species, making it a paradise for nature lovers. Between drives, enjoy leisure time at your lodge, where you can take in views of Kilimanjaro’s snow-capped peak. Overnight at your lodge in Amboseli.

Day 3: Amboseli – Transfer to Lake Naivasha

After breakfast, depart Amboseli and drive north through the Great Rift Valley toward Lake Naivasha. On arrival, check into your lodge and relax over lunch. In the afternoon, take a boat ride on Lake Naivasha, spotting hippos, cormorants, and fish eagles. You may also visit Crescent Island Sanctuary for a guided walk among giraffes and antelopes. Dinner and overnight by the lakeshore.

Day 4: Lake Naivasha – Transfer to Maasai Mara & Afternoon Game Drive

After breakfast, depart Lake Naivasha and journey across the Rift Valley floor to the Maasai Mara. Arrive in time for lunch and settle into your lodge or tented camp. In the afternoon, head out on your first Mara game drive. Expect to see elephants, buffalo, zebras, giraffes, and prides of lions among the rolling savannahs. Dinner and overnight at your lodge in the Maasai Mara.

Day 5: Morning Game Drive – Return to Nairobi

Wake up early for a sunrise game drive, capturing the Mara’s wildlife as the day begins. After breakfast, check out and begin your return drive to Nairobi, arriving in the late afternoon. The safari concludes with incredible memories of Amboseli’s elephants, Naivasha’s waters, and the iconic plains of the Maasai Mara.
