Detailed Itinerary —5-Day Tanzania Adventure Safari

Day 1: Arusha – Transfer to Tarangire National Park

Depart Arusha in the morning and drive to Tarangire National Park. Arrive for lunch and enjoy an afternoon game drive. The park is known for its striking baobab trees, large elephant herds, and diverse birdlife. Dinner and overnight at your lodge or tented camp inside or near Tarangire.

Day 2: Tarangire – Transfer to Lake Manyara National Park

After breakfast, drive to Lake Manyara National Park, arriving in time for a mid-morning game drive. The park’s highlights include tree-climbing lions, flamingos along the lake’s edge, and hippos in the water. After lunch and more wildlife viewing, settle into your lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 3: Lake Manyara – Transfer to Serengeti National Park

After breakfast, depart for Serengeti National Park via the Ngorongoro highlands. Arrive in time for lunch at your lodge or camp. In the afternoon, head out on your first Serengeti game drive, spotting lions, elephants, giraffes, and perhaps leopards. Dinner and overnight in the Serengeti.

Day 4: Full-Day Safari in Serengeti

Spend a full day on game drives across the Serengeti. Depending on the season, you may witness the Great Wildebeest Migration, or enjoy year-round sightings of cheetahs, hyenas, buffalo, and the Big Five. A picnic lunch will be enjoyed in the bush. Return in the evening to your lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 5: Serengeti – Transfer to Ngorongoro Crater – Return to Arusha

After an early breakfast, depart for Ngorongoro Crater and descend into the caldera for a full-day game drive. The crater is home to black rhinos, elephants, hippos, lions, and flamingos, offering incredible wildlife density in one location. After a picnic lunch on the crater floor, ascend and begin your return journey to Arusha, where the safari concludes.
