Day 1: Arrival in Entebbe – Transfer to Hotel

You arrive at Entebbe International Airport, where your driver-guide welcomes you and transfers you to your hotel. Depending on your arrival time, the children may enjoy the gardens or a short stroll along Lake Victoria before dinner and overnight in Entebbe.

Day 2: Drive to Murchison Falls National Park via Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary

After breakfast, you begin your journey north. Along the way, you stop at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary, where families can safely track rhinos on foot with a ranger—a thrilling experience for both children and adults. Continuing to Murchison Falls, you arrive by evening and check into your lodge along the Nile. Dinner and overnight are in the park.

Day 3: Game Drive and Boat Cruise in Murchison Falls

The day begins with a morning game drive across the savannah, where giraffes, elephants, and antelopes roam. Lions and leopards may also be spotted, making the drive exciting for all ages. After lunch, you enjoy a family-friendly boat cruise along the Nile, where hippos, crocodiles, and elephants come into view. Dinner and overnight are at your lodge.

Day 4: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park

After breakfast, you set off for Queen Elizabeth National Park, passing through scenic countryside, farmlands, and crater lakes. By late afternoon, you arrive at your lodge overlooking the plains or Kazinga Channel. Dinner and overnight are in Queen Elizabeth.

Day 5: Game Drive and Kazinga Channel Cruise

The morning begins with a game drive across the Kasenyi plains, where children enjoy spotting elephants, buffaloes, and antelopes. After lunch, the whole family boards a boat for a cruise along the Kazinga Channel, which teems with hippos, crocodiles, and birds, while fishing villages line the shores. Dinner and overnight at your lodge.

Day 6: Drive to Lake Bunyonyi – Canoe Ride

This morning, you leave Queen Elizabeth and drive to Lake Bunyonyi, a peaceful haven surrounded by terraced hills. On arrival, you settle into your lakeside lodge. The afternoon offers relaxed family activities, such as canoeing, swimming in safe bilharzia-free waters, or exploring nearby villages. Dinner and overnight at Lake Bunyonyi.

Day 7: Cross into Rwanda – Volcanoes Region – Cultural Visit

After breakfast, you drive across the border into Rwanda. By midday, you arrive in Musanze, the gateway to Volcanoes National Park. In the afternoon, you visit the Iby’Iwacu cultural village, where children and parents can enjoy music, dance, storytelling, and learning about Rwandan traditions. Dinner and overnight at your lodge with views of the Virunga volcanoes.

Day 8: Transfer to Kigali – City Tour – Departure

After breakfast, you drive to Kigali, Rwanda’s vibrant capital. Depending on your flight time, you may enjoy a short city tour that includes craft markets and, for older children, the Kigali Genocide Memorial (optional). Later, you are transferred to Kigali International Airport for your departure, marking the end of your family adventure.
