Day 1: Arrival in Entebbe – Transfer to Hotel

Your journey begins with arrival at Entebbe International Airport, where you are welcomed by your driver-guide and transferred to your hotel. Depending on your arrival time, you may take a walk along the shores of Lake Victoria or relax in your lodge gardens. Dinner and overnight in Entebbe.

Day 2: Drive to Lake Mburo National Park

After breakfast, you set out for Lake Mburo National Park, a scenic park dotted with lakes, rolling hills, and open woodlands. Upon arrival, you enjoy an evening nature walk or boat ride on the lake, where hippos, crocodiles, and water birds thrive. Dinner and overnight at a lodge overlooking the park’s landscapes.

Day 3: Transfer to Lake Bunyonyi

This morning, you depart for Lake Bunyonyi, often called “the place of many little birds.” The drive takes you through terraced highlands before opening to the panoramic beauty of Bunyonyi’s 29 islands scattered across sparkling waters. This day is devoted to exploring and relaxing by Lake Bunyonyi. You may enjoy a boat ride to visit some of the islands, each with its own story, or take a guided walk in the surrounding hills. Day 5: Cross into Rwanda – Transfer to Volcanoes National Park

After breakfast, you leave Lake Bunyonyi and cross the border into Rwanda. The drive winds through Rwanda’s “land of a thousand hills,” with breathtaking scenery at every turn. By afternoon, you arrive in Musanze, the gateway to Volcanoes National Park, where volcanic peaks dominate the horizon. Dinner and overnight at your lodge with views of the Virunga volcanoes.

Day 6: Explore Volcanoes National Park – Nature Walks or Cultural Visit

This day is devoted to exploring the landscapes around Volcanoes National Park. You may choose a guided nature walk at the base of the volcanoes, or visit the Iby’Iwacu cultural village to experience Rwandan traditions of dance, music, and storytelling. Dinner and overnight at your lodge in Volcanoes.

Day 7: Transfer to Lake Kivu – Relaxation by the Shore

After breakfast, you transfer to Lake Kivu, one of Africa’s great lakes, known for its sparkling waters and tranquil shores. Upon arrival in Gisenyi, you settle into your lakeside resort. The afternoon is free to relax, swim, take a boat ride, or enjoy the stunning sunsets over the lake. Dinner and overnight at Lake Kivu.

Day 8: Transfer to Kigali – City Tour – Departure

After breakfast, you leave Lake Kivu and drive to Kigali, Rwanda’s capital. Depending on your flight schedule, you may take a city tour, including the Kigali Genocide Memorial and local craft markets. Later, you are transferred to the airport for your onward flight, marking the end of your lakes and landscapes journey.
