Day 1: Journey to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

Your safari begins with an early morning departure from Kampala or Entebbe. The road to Bwindi offers a feast for the eyes, passing through fertile farmlands, tea plantations, and scattered homesteads. A stop at the Equator in Kayabwe provides a chance for photographs and a moment of fun standing in both hemispheres. Lunch is taken en route before continuing to the southwest, where the landscapes transform into lush, rolling hills. By late afternoon, you arrive at Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. After check-in at your lodge, you can relax as the mist settles over the forest canopy, followed by dinner and overnight rest.

Day 2: Gorilla Trekking Experience

The day begins with an early breakfast before heading to the park headquarters for a briefing by the rangers. You are assigned a gorilla family group and set off into the forest with guides. The trek can last anywhere from two to six hours depending on where the gorillas are located. The forest itself is alive with sounds of birds and monkeys, and the trail winds through thick vegetation and steep terrain.

When you finally encounter the gorillas, the experience is unforgettable. A silverback may be seen resting with quiet authority, mothers cradle their infants with tenderness, and juveniles swing and play in the branches. You spend one magical hour observing them, a moment that leaves lasting impressions. After the trek, you return to the lodge for relaxation. Day 3: Return Journey to Kampala or Entebbe

After breakfast, you begin the return journey toward Kampala or Entebbe. The drive offers another chance to enjoy the beauty of the countryside. Lunch is served along the way, with a final stop at the Equator for photographs and souvenir shopping. By evening, you arrive back in the city for drop-off at your hotel or the airport, marking the end of the safari.
