Day 1: Arrival in Entebbe – Transfer to Hotel

You arrive at Entebbe International Airport, where you are welcomed by your driver-guide and transferred to your hotel. Depending on your arrival time, you may enjoy an evening shoot on the shores of Lake Victoria, capturing sunset colors and birdlife. Dinner and overnight in Entebbe.

Day 2: Drive to Murchison Falls via Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary

After breakfast, you head north to Murchison Falls National Park. En route, you stop at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary, where you can photograph rhinos on foot, often in open light conditions perfect for close-up shots. Continuing to Murchison, you arrive at your lodge overlooking the Nile. Dinner and overnight in the park.

Day 3: Game Drive and Nile Boat Cruise in Murchison

The day begins with a game drive across the northern plains. Golden morning light illuminates elephants, giraffes, buffaloes, and lions, providing stunning photographic opportunities. After lunch, you take a boat cruise along the Nile to the base of Murchison Falls, where you capture hippos, crocodiles, and dramatic waterscapes. A short hike to the top of the falls offers wide-angle shots of the Nile crashing through the gorge. Dinner and overnight at your lodge.

Day 4: Transfer to Kibale Forest National Park

After breakfast, you drive southwest through scenic countryside, with stops along the way to photograph rural life, crater lakes, and tea plantations. By evening, you arrive at your lodge near Kibale Forest for dinner and overnight.

Day 5: Chimpanzee Tracking in Kibale – Bigodi Wetland Photography

This morning, you track chimpanzees in Kibale Forest. Fast-moving and energetic, they provide challenging yet rewarding subjects for wildlife photography. In the afternoon, you explore Bigodi Wetland, a paradise for bird and primate photography, with highlights such as the great blue turaco, colobus monkeys, and papyrus landscapes. Dinner and overnight at your lodge.

Day 6: Drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park – Evening Game Drive

After breakfast, you transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park. On arrival, you check into your lodge and then head out for an evening game drive, capturing elephants and antelopes in the warm light of sunset. Dinner and overnight in the park.

Day 7: Game Drive and Kazinga Channel Boat Cruise

The day begins with a sunrise game drive across the Kasenyi plains, offering ideal light for photographing lions, leopards, and herds of Uganda kob. After lunch, you embark on a boat cruise along the Kazinga Channel, where hippos, elephants, buffaloes, and water birds gather. The cruise provides excellent opportunities for close-range photography. Dinner and overnight are at your lodge.

Day 8: Transfer to Bwindi via Ishasha – Tree-Climbing Lions

After breakfast, you drive through the Ishasha sector, famous for its tree-climbing lions. This rare behavior is a photographic highlight, and you may capture them lounging in fig trees. Continuing south, you arrive in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park by late afternoon. Dinner and overnight in Bwindi.

Day 9: Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi

This is the pinnacle of your photography safari. After breakfast, you trek into Bwindi to find a gorilla family. The dense jungle creates dramatic light and shadow, perfect for atmospheric portraits. Spending an hour with the gorillas allows you to capture intimate moments—from the gaze of a silverback to the playful antics of young gorillas. After trekking, you return to your lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 10: Transfer to Entebbe – Departure

After breakfast, you begin the return journey to Entebbe, stopping for landscape and cultural photography along the way. A pause at the Equator offers iconic shots before continuing to Entebbe International Airport for your departure flight, marking the end of your photographic adventure.
